Vote For Lafayette In Rand McNally’s ‘Best Of The Road”

Rand McNally's "Best of the Road" is once again underway. The world famous mapmaker began the search competition in 2011. They send road teams across the country to find the best small towns in America.

Towns compete for recognition in five categories:

• Most Beautiful
• Most Fun
• Most Patriotic
• Friendliest
• Best Food

Lafayette was the inaugural winner in the Best food category. The 2012 winner was Santa Fe', New Mexico.

Southwestern cuisine is extremely popular across the nation. We feel, here in Acadiana, that we have the best food, friendliest people, and best music anywhere.

Lafayette has won this competition before, and we can win it again!

Lafayette was also named the South's Tastiest Town by Southern Living Magazine in 2012.
