This is the 8th year of the Louisiana Club Challenge, a gathering of Southern-based off-road clubs and individuals competing for a great cause, taking place September 25-27.

The event is held each year at Catahoula Recreation ORV (Off-Road Vehicle) Park in Sicily Island, Louisiana.  Jeep, 4x4 and off-road clubs gather to compete on the trails, with more races, more entertainment and more activities for this year.

Proceeds raised go to the ORV park and to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Organizers are still taking donations for St. Jude, whether it be monetary donations or items to use for the auction and raffle.

Phillip Losh of Searchers 4wd Supply and Outfitters, explains why it is called the "Club Challenge":

The "Challenge" is to have each club challenge the other clubs to raise the most money.  We will have fun, we will ride the trails, we will compete with each other; our main goal, though, is to raise funds for St. Jude.  Until a cure is found, we must continue to support the hospital. - Phillip Losh, owner of Searchers
