2013 Sonic Christmas Parade in Lafayette This Sunday, December 8th
The official arrival of Santa Claus takes place this Sunday, December 8th in Lafayette with the Sonic Christmas Parade.
The parade will begin at 1:00pm and starts downtown at the Jefferson Street underpass and will conclude in the Oil Center.
In addition to ole St. Nick, there will be lots of great floats from area businesses along with high school marching bands and dance clubs. The Sonic floats will be throwing collector’s edition Ragin’ Cajun Tots.
Kids are invited to bring their letters to Santa to the parade where they will be collected and mailed to the North Pole.
Also, since Lafayette does not have a Veteran’s Day parade, this parade gives our veterans some due respect. All veterans from any branch of our nation’s military are urged to march or ride in the parade. Transportation will be provided and there is no charge to participate. Veterans are asked to arrive at noon and report to Jefferson St. near the underpass where they will be directed to their position in the parade.
