2013 Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival and New Orleans Jazz Fest Are History

Zydeco Dancing to Geno Delafosse at the Crawfish Festival

The weather was beautiful yesterday for the closing day of two of Louisiana's favorite festivals. The Crawfish Festival took place in Breaux Bridge Friday, Saturday and Sunday, concluding with Greg Martinez & The Delta Kings on the Crawfish Stage and Lil Nathan & The Zydeco Big Timers on the Festival Stage. The weekend's festivities included a parade, Cajun and Zydeco dance lessons, cooking and bourre demonstrations, crawfish races, and crawfish eating contests.

Jazz Fest in New Orleans ended with native son, Troy 'Trombone Shorty' Andrews with a memorable performance that included a foray into the crowd gathered at the Acura stage for the conclusion of the legendary festival.
