The inaugural Teche Fest will be held this Saturday, September 20th from 10 AM-6 PM in Breaux Bridge. Teche Fest will feature arts and crafts from over 40 artists, music, food and family friendly entertainment. Featured artist and Breaux Bridge native Kelly Guidry will be on hand along with local musical acts like Terry & The Zydeco Bad Boys, High Heel Sneakers, and Sweet Cecilia.

Proceeds from Tech Fest will be used to fund The Teche Center for the Arts, which will be housed in the old Dan Theatre. The Teche Center for the Arts will be the heart and soul of Breaux Bridge and St. Martin Parish by showcasing and preserving the area’s rich cultural, artistic, and musical heritage. Music, art, and cultural education will be a prime focus of the TCA, including lessons in Cajun and Creole French language. A fundraiser at Teche Fest will offer inscribed bricks and pavers for those who wish to contribute to the cause.

Free and open to the public, Teche Fest is a production of Breaux Bridge Downtown Merchants Association; supported by St. Martin Parish Tourism
