10 Illegal Baby Names
Whether it's the Pope encouraging people to use "good, Christian names", or a government agency that oversees such things, some people are meeting resistance when it comes to what they want to name their children.
The funniest 'name' story I have heard (I'm not certain that it is true) was of a 'local' pediatric dentist who was trying to pronounce a patient's name. On the chart, it said "La-A". So, as he comes in to consult with the patient and her mother, he tried to pronounce her name, failing. The mother pipes in "It's pronounced la DASH a, the dash isn't silent".
Probably an urban legend, but a humorous story, nonetheless.
